Symptoms
Call signs that contain multibyte characters (such as Russian and Chinese characters) are not displayed correctly in Windows Media Center on a computer that is running Windows 7 when you use applications that are based on the PBDA (Protected Broadcast Driver Architecture) tuner.
Cause
This issue occurs because of an error in Windows Media Center client PBDA parsing code. The multibyte characters are lost because the call sign XML string that a CComBSTR member uses is unnecessarily converted into a plain ASCII CHAR string.
