Not sure if this is the right fix? We've added this issue to our memory dump diagnostic which can confirm.
Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You have a computer that has an Intel H61 motherboard and 5 gigabytes (GB) of memory (4 GB + 1 GB).
-
You try to install a 32-bit version of Windows 7 on the computer.
In this scenario, the computer crashes during the startup process after the "copying files" stage. Therefore, the installation is not completed.
Notes If you remove the additional 1 GB of memory, the operating system installation can be completed successfully.Cause
This issue occurs because the operating system does not successfully calculate the number of large pages that are needed.
