Introduction

Creating pages in SharePoint has never been easier with the introduction of Copilot. You can now streamline your content creation process by leveraging AI-driven features. Copilot offers two main options for creating pages:

This article explains how you can create SharePoint pages using templates with prompts. Page templates help you build different types of pages, like newsletters, events, status updates, or processes. They provide a structured layout that you can easily customize to fit your needs. By selecting a template, you can use prompts to quickly add content and personalize the page. Here’s how you do it:

Step-by-step guide to creating page from templates

Step 1: Start creating a new page with Copilot

Select the +New button in the command bar of your SharePoint site and select Page with Copilot.

Step 2: Select a template

Choose a template that suits your needs. You will find a variety of templates like newsletter, event, status update, and process.

Step 3: Use prompts to customize your page

Once you select a template, you have the option to fill in keywords in the prompts that come with the template. Additionally, you can provide your own files as sources of the page for better results.

Step 4: Preview your page

Preview your page to ensure everything looks good. Make any necessary adjustments to the content or layout.

Step 5: Publish

Once satisfied, save and publish your page.

Refine your page

After creating your page, you can use Design ideas to enhance its layout and design. Additionally, refine its content by rewriting with Copilot in the rich text editor. No matter how you create and improve your page, it is recommended to preview it before publishing.

Create pages from open prompts

If you prefer more flexibility in creating your pages, you can start by typing an open prompt at the top of the Create with Copilot page to generate a page powered by Design Ideas. This option allows you to create your page from scratch with AI-generated sections and contents based on your prompt.
