Symptoms
Assume that you enable the data deduplication feature on a Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV) volume on a Windows Server 2012 R2-based failover cluster. When a full recall of a file that has an outstanding opportunistic lock (also known as an oplock) is performed, a deadlock condition occurs. Therefore, the CSV volume is inaccessible.
Cause
This issue occurs because an inverse lock order is used in a full recall when the file has an opportunistic lock.
