Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You create a file in the Documents library in Windows Explorer on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

  • You click the Date modified column to sort the files.Note If the newly created file is listed as the last item, you need to click the Date modified column again.

  • You delete the file.

In this scenario, the file is deleted successfully. However, the file is still displayed in the Documents library. The file only disappears after you right-click and then click Refresh in the shortcut menu in Windows Explorer.
