Summary
This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Outlook 2010 hotfix package that is dated April 24, 2012.
INTRODUCTION
Issues that this hotfix package fixes
-
When you open some large email messages that request read receipts in Outlook 2010, one of the read receipts becomes corrupted. After this issue occurs, you cannot send email messages. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Task '<account name> - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC13): 'Cannot connect to the network. Verify your network connection or modem.'
-
You cannot send a public folder calendar as an email message in Outlook 2010.
-
When you create a meeting or an appointment from an archive mailbox folder in Outlook 2010, the meeting or the appointment does not appear in your calendar.
-
When you open and close an .eml file, a new .tmp file is created in the temp directory. This .tmp file remains in the temp directory until you close Outlook.
-
When you perform a custom action to categorize a conversation, and you have a delegate store, the expected category is not applied to the conversation.
-
Duplicate email messages are sent intermittently when multiple Outlook 2010 clients in online mode are connected.
-
After you apply the hotfix package that is described in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 2596485, you cannot save files to a network share in Outlook 2010. For example, you cannot save an appointment as an .ics file or as a .vcs file to a network share.
-
Assume that the reading pane is enabled in Outlook 2010. When you install an add-in to change the underlying body of an email message from a stub message body to the full message body, the full message body is not loaded as expected.
-
Under certain conditions, Outlook 2010 crashes when you create a new profile. This issue occurs after you install Microsoft Office 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1).
-
Outlook 2010 does not recognize or use certificates that have the Enhance Key Usage property set to Any Purpose.
-
When you press CTRL+P to open a print preview of an email message in Outlook 2010, the print preview is not displayed, and you do not receive an error message. This issue occurs when the folder that contains the email message contains more than 500 items.
-
When you open a PowerPoint Show (.ppsx) file that is an attachment in an email message in Outlook 2010, the file does not open in Slide Show mode as expected.
-
When the Mobile Address Book is disabled in Outlook 2010, you cannot create a new profile by using the profile wizard. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Your Organization does not allow you to use this service.
-
Assume that the DisablePWDialog registry entry is set in Outlook 2010, and you try to access the Automatic Replies (Out of Office) feature. In this situation, Outlook 2010 cannot authenticate with Microsoft Exchange Web Services (EWS), and you receive the following message:
Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later.
-
After you use a macro that contains the AddStore method to add a .pst file to Outlook 2010, other .pst files that are expanded in Outlook 2010 collapse.
-
2598291 No member names are displayed in a distribution list in Outlook 2010
