This article describes the issue that is fixed in the Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 hotfix package that is dated October 30, 2012.

INTRODUCTION

Issue that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You create a workbook in Microsoft Excel 2013.

    • You bind a table in the workbook to an app for Office.

    • You save the workbook by using the .xlsb file format.

    • You open the workbook in Excel 2010.

    In this scenario, Excel 2010 crashes.Note To resolve this issue, you must apply the hotfix package that is described in this article together with the following hotfix package:
