This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Word 2010 hotfix package that is dated April 8, 2014.
Issues that this hotfix package fixes
A user can retrieve content from an IRM-protected document in Word 2010 in a specific case.
When you open a document that contains tracked changes in a table in Word 2010, the tracked changes may not be shown correctly.
When you print multiple pages of a document on one paper in Word 2010, the table shading in the document may not print correctly.
Assume that you have a Word document that contains tracked changes in a table. If you press the Backspace key to delete the character that immediately follows the table, Word may stop responding.
Assume that you edit an equation in a Word document that has Track Changes enabled. Sometimes, you cannot save the document, and Word may sometimes crash.
When you use the Range.WordOpenXML method in a word document that contains a chart or a SmartArt graphic that is linked to a network location, you may experience poor performance.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problems that are described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problems described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
