FIX: A memory leak occurs when an application calls the IGraphBuilder::RenderFile method in Windows Embedded Compact 7

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a multimedia application that is running on a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device.

  • The application calls the IGraphBuilder::RenderFile method to build a filter graph that renders a media file.

In this scenario, you notice that a memory leak occurs in the IGraphBuilder::RenderFile method.

Notes

  • This problem occurs even if the application has removed all the filters from the graph.

  • You can attach the Resource Leak Detector tool to the application to detect the memory leak.
