Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You have an XML file that contains the following field:
<Rgn>#x0;<Rgn>
-
You validate the file against the schema in Microsoft Visual Studio. In this case, validation fails and you receive the following error message:
Invalid.XML: warning BEC2004: '.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character.
-
You process this invalid XML by using the out-of-box XML disassembler and XML validator component in Microsoft BizTalk Server.
In this scenario, you may find that the XML validator component at the receive pipeline does not cause any errors, and the message is processed in BizTalk Server. However, the message later causes an error in the map at the send port.
