Introduction
This article describes a hotfix that is available for India withholding tax on prepayment invoice in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3.

The prepayment functionality was introduced in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 on Accounts Payable.Â
This hotfix adds functionality for India localization where user can manage the calculation and settlement of India Withholding tax (TDS/TCS) on Prepayment Invoice.
Users will be able to mark TDS/TCS on the prepayment invoice line and make settlement accordingly. At the time of applying such prepayment to original invoice, Microsoft Dynamics AX will only calculate the TDS/TCS on the remainder amount and thus avoiding double calculation of tax.

Prerequisites
You must have Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 installed to apply this hotfix.
We recommend that you apply hotfix 2871840. Otherwise, you may see inconsistent results on hotfix 2960517.

Restart requirement
You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
