Introduction

This article describes the latest update for System Center Operations Manager 2022. This article also contains the installation instructions for this update.

Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, you must have the update: Update Rollup 3 for System Center Operations Manager 2022.

Issues fixed in this update

1. After applying this hotfix, System Center 2022 Operations Manager will conform to GB18030-2022 Amendment standard. GB18030-2022 Amendment is the Chinese character set and encoding standard mandated by the Chinese government. Details below.

  • All reports cannot display GB Amendment Characters.

  • Input fields don’t display Specific GB Amendment Characters when creating a Dashboard View.

  • On Active Alert Page, the Alert Name does not display some GB Amendment characters in the right Task Panel.

  • On the alert view page, the title for the alert name does not display some GB Amendment characters.

2. Unix/Linux/Network monitoring fixes and changes: Fixed SCX Agent certificate signing issue: Restored functionality of scxcertconfig.exe and enabling certificate signing and SCX Agent installation.

3. Changes to limit PowerShell widget access to Administrators only: The PowerShell (PS) Widget in dashboards are accessible to all users, including those without administrative privileges. This posed a potential security as non-admin users were able to execute or view PowerShell scripts through the web console. This Hotfix limits the access to edit PowerShell widgets to Administrators only.

4. When user is trying to discover agent in SCOM using the wizard and get the following error:

The Operations Manager Server could not find directory \\SERVERNAME\C$\WINDOWS\. Agent will not be installed on computer SERVERNAME.domain.com. Please verify the required share exists.

5. Fixed Views like “Windows Service State” and “Process State” will not load in Web Console after 2022 UR3.
