Option 1 - stopping a paid plan only

IMPORTANT - if you would like to cancel a subscription to a paid plan and would like to keep using the free Clipchamp tier, please see: How do I cancel my Clipchamp plan.

Option 2 - deleting a Clipchamp account

To remove a Clipchamp account and all its data,

  • You can go to this link to make the request. The link works on desktop/laptop, not mobile.

  • You will be prompted to sign into the account you want to delete if you are not already signed in.

  • Alternatively, you can go to the settings page of your account and find the option to request an account deletion at the bottom of the page.

Once this request is submitted, the account deletion will be finalized within 20 business days, and you will receive a confirmation email when it is complete.

During the period between when you submit your account deletion request and when your account deletion is completed, you will be unable to sign into Clipchamp using that email address.

After the request has been completed you will be able to use the same email address to open a fresh account that will not contain any of your previous data.

Please note that deleting a Clipchamp account and its data does not delete your Microsoft account if you have connected one in Clipchamp. At this stage, Clipchamp and Microsoft accounts and their data are managed separately.

IMPORTANT - If you have a paid subscription for our Essentials plan in place, please cancel the paid plan first, before requesting the deletion of your Clipchamp account.
