Office suites for individuals and families
Office suites for individuals and families are a one-time purchase that includes apps such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for use on a single PC or Mac. These suites do not include cloud-backed features (for example, PowerPoint Designer, Data Types in Excel) or any of the services included in Microsoft 365 (for example, OneDrive, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online).
General information
To set up Office for the first time, visit the Office Setup page and follow the instructions on the screen.
Once you have set up Office, you can manage your account at the Office My Account page.
Microsoft 365 is designed to work with the latest browsers and versions of Office. If you use older browsers or versions of Office that are not in mainstream support:
-
Microsoft won’t deliberately prevent you from connecting to the service, but the quality of your Microsoft 365 experience may diminish over time.
-
Microsoft won’t provide code fixes to resolve non-security related problems.
