A platform hotfix is available for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2. The build number of this platform hotfix is 35784.

Platform hotfixes are cumulative, which means that the latest hotfix includes all previously released hotfixes. Therefore, you should always install the latest update rollup.

Note You may have to compile the objects in your database after you apply this hotfix.

This hotfix resolves the following problems:




Sami_Sweden_Finland collation is not supported.


Error message pops up for every embedded page when the Web client times out.


You cannot develop reports in Visual Studio 2013.


RDLC layout maximum size is increased.


Short dates, for example "0201" cannot be evaluated into dates in fields of type Date with Hungarian Regional Settings.


Object import is not rolled back when an error is encountered during import of .txt object file.


EVALUATE function returns wrong result.


"Unable to verify table changes. To validate table changes for potential data loss, Microsoft Dynamics NAV Development Environment must communicate with a running server" error message when you compile a table after you make a change to the table schema and the development environment is not installed on the same computer as the NAV Server.


"The element <Element> cannot be found in the object description" error message when you run an XMLport with namespace.


Table name in table relations in XMLports is changed after technical upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2.


The Windows client crashes when a table has duplicate CaptionMLs.


Online help cannot be invoked for fields in report request pages.


You cannot run the debugger or run an object from the Development Environment in side-by-side installations.


.NET Automation crashes the Windows client with MESSAGE('%1', XMLNode.Value);


Windows client takes a long time to start for non-SUPER users.


Cursor is not positioned in the first Quick Entry field when you open a page.


Microsoft Office DotNet library - table collection : property is not found at runtime.


Leading zeros are not removed from fields of SQLDataType Variant until you close the page.

How to obtain the Microsoft Dynamics NAV hotfix or update files

After you request a Microsoft Dynamics NAV hotfix, a hyperlink will be sent to you in an e-mail.

The e-mail will contain a hyperlink. You can use the hyperlink to download the Microsoft Dynamics NAV hotfix or the update files. When you click the hyperlink, the File Download – Security Warning dialog box opens. Then, you are prompted to run, to save, or to cancel the download.

If you click Run, the files start the download and the extraction process. You must specify a folder for the new files, and then provide the password.

If you click Save, you must specify a path for saving the compressed file. When you open the file that you saved, you are prompted to specify a path for the files.

If you click Cancel, the download process stops.

How to install a Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform hotfix

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform hotfixes are made available as single files. To install a Microsoft Dynamics NAV hotfix, you must replace the existing Microsoft Dynamics NAV installation files with the hotfix files. To do this, follow these steps.

Step 1: Replace the files in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server installation

In the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server installation, replace the files by using the hotfix files.
