November 8, 2016 A detection change was made to account for the .NET Framework 4.6.1 hotfix rollup for customers who were not being correctly offered this reliability rollup for the .NET Framework 4.6.1.


This article describes the reliability rollup 3184951 for the Microsoft .NET Framework on Windows Server 2012. This update includes cumulative improvements in reliability in the .NET Framework 4.6, 4.6.1, and 4.5.2.

Specifically, this update contains a cumulative account of all limited distribution release (LDR) updates that have been shipped to date. No new features are introduced in this update. This update provides important reliability improvements in the following .NET Framework components, among others:

  • Common Language Runtime

  • Windows Forms

  • Windows Presentation Foundation
