OneNote can suggest words or phrases (text predictions) as you compose content. Each time this happens, you can accept or ignore the specific suggested text. You may also choose to turn off the text predictions. 

Accept suggested text 

If you’re typing and suggested text appears that you want to accept, do one of the following:

  • Press the Tab key.

    --or--

  • Press the Right-arrow key.

Ignore suggested text 

If you’re typing and suggested text appears that you don’t want to accept, just keep typing and the suggested text will disappear. 

Turn off text predictions

  1. In an open OneNote file, go to File > Options > Advanced

  2. Clear the checkbox for Show text predictions while typing
