When you log on to a Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 station, the volume level of the station may be slightly lower than it was the last time that you logged on. Every time that you log on to the station, the volume level decreases slightly from the previous time that you logged on.

This problem occurs because the volume level is not saved correctly when you log off.

To resolve this problem, install the update rollup that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

2555129 Update Rollup 1 for Windows MultiPoint Server 2011

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

More Information

After you apply this update, the volume level is saved correctly when you log off. When you log on again, the volume level is set to the same level to which it was set after the previous log on.
