Symptoms
Assume that you have a computer in which Windows Internet Explorer 9 or Internet Explorer 10 together with KB 2870699 is installed. When you try to perform a coded UI test or an action recording on the computer, the attempt is unsuccessful, and you encounter one or both of the following issues:
-
Issue 1
When you navigate to a new page and perform an action while you record a coded UI test in Internet Explorer, the action is not recorded, and you receive the following error message:The following element is no longer available: IE web control; Process Id [xxxx], window handle [yyyy].
-
Issue 2
When you play back a coded UI test (typically after page navigation), the test fails and returns a Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITest.Extension.FailedToPerformActionOnHiddenControlException exception.
Note This update also includes the update that is described in KB 2813041.
