Use an agent created in SharePoint in Microsoft Copilot app

Find an agent in Microsoft Copilot app

After you interact with a custom agent in SharePoint, in a Teams group chat or meeting, or through a shared link, the agent becomes available in the Agents section of the left navigation in Microsoft Copilot app. For example, after you ask a SharePoint agent a question, it appears in your recently used agents:

Note

  • Only the agents you created and use show up, which keeps your list relevant and uncluttered.
  • Sync delays can occasionally happen, though agents almost always appear in under a minute.
  • No browsing for agents: You can access only agents you used recently—there’s no way to browse all available agents from the list.
  • Chat history: The context from past SharePoint chats doesn’t carry over to Copilot app, so some conversations start fresh.

Pin an agent

If you frequently use a particular agent, pin it. Pinned agents stay at the top of your left rail, so you always have quick access, even as the most recently used list changes. To pin an agent, select the Pin icon next to it.

Edit or share an agent

In the Microsoft Copilot app left navigation, select the ellipsis next to an agent to open its options menu:

Edit an agent: For agents you create, select Edit to launch the SharePoint builder and make updates. If you don't have permission to edit, the option is disabled.

Share an agent: When you want to collaborate with teammates, use Share/Get Link to generate a sharing link through the file sharing dialog.
