Start a voice chat with Copilot Chat
Note: The first time you access any of Copilot voice features, you may be prompted to grant Copilot access to your microphone. You can manage this setting in your browser or device settings. Minimize background noise for accuracy.

Go to Microsoft 365 Copilot or open the Microsoft 365 Copilot app on your desktop, then sign in with your work or school account.

SelectÂ
 Start a new voice chat in the prompt box to start a voice conversation.-

If you have the Microsoft 365 Copilot app installed on your Windows desktop, you can also start a voice chat on quick view by pressing Win+C or the Copilot key keyboard shortcuts. Â

Speak with Copilot, interrupt, redirect, or ask follow-up questions at any time.

To mute or end the conversation, selectÂ
Mute/pause or  End voice chat as needed. At that point, Copilot stops listening.-
Always review transcribed or generated content for accuracy as AI may occasionally misinterpret speech or produce errors.

Note: Voice conversations may be time limited and will disconnect automatically after a set period.
