Using Copilot Pages with Microsoft Copilot
Copilot Pages is a distinct experience from Microsoft Copilot chat designed to help you write or iterate ideas with Copilot’s help. Pages is ideal for planning, writing, organizing thoughts, outlining, or brainstorming. You must be signed in to Copilot to use Pages.
How Copilot Pages can help
Working with Pages starts with a Copilot response. For example, you may ask Copilot one of the following questions:
-
“I just got asked to manage my law school study group's schedule and study plan. I'm trying to juggle everyone's schedule and make sure we cover everything we need to. Can you help me make a plan?”
-
“I can’t figure out how to start my video script about Best Hostels in Vietnam. I’m feeling creatively blocked. Can you help me create an intro and an outline so I can get some momentum?”
-
“I’m graduating later year and moving to take a new job in Austin, Texas. Can you help me create a checklist of things I need to do?”
Copilot will likely respond with an outline. This is a good start, but you’ll want to do more work on this. Just below Copilot’s response, select Edit this response.
Copilot will bring the outline into Pages, where you can do the following:
-
Write or edit the content yourself. Pages supports rich text editing and formatting. You can rewrite sections on your own, add bold or italics, or insert your own bullet points.
-
Co-write and iterate with Copilot. Ask Copilot follow up questions to expand on or improve all or just portions of the content. For example, you could ask Copilot to simplify, rewrite, expand, or improve the grammar or tone.
If you leave a page, you can come back to it at any time and continue working on it.
Creating a new Page in Copilot
-
To start editing a Copilot response in Pages, select Edit this response at the bottom of the response.
Note: You must sign in to Copilot to create a Page. If you are not signed in at this point, Copilot will prompt you to do so.

-
A Copilot chat window will open where you can ask Copilot questions about the text, as well as ask for help writing (or re-writing) it. This conversation with Copilot remains with your Page.
