Turn on Control flow guard on your computer

Important

Starting March 5, 2025, Windows Subsystem for Android™ and the Amazon Appstore aren't available in the Microsoft Store.

To run Windows Subsystem for Android™ you’ll need to turn on Control flow guard (if you have a Windows version with build 25266 or earlier). 

Note

You can find out which version of Windows operating system you're running if you're not sure.

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Windows Security, and then select it from the results.
  2. Select App & browser control.
  3. Under Exploit protection, select Exploit protection settings.
  4. Under Control flow guard (CFG), expand the box and select Use default (On).
  5. Restart your computer.
