Microsoft Teams Free stores files and photos you've shared along with other items for easy access across all of your devices.
However, each item has a different length of time that it's available in the application:

*These item types are available until they are deleted, the user leaves the conversation, or permission are updated
Note
When a file is shared, everyone has access to files with permission settings set to Anyone with this link. When you leave a chat, group chat, or community, other participants and members still have access to shared and uploaded files. You will need to go to OneDrive to stop or change share permissions.
