View a printer's print queue in Windows

Viewing a printer's print queue allows viewing of pending print jobs and items waiting to print on the printer. To view a printer's print queue:

1. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners .

   Open Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners

2. Select the printer you want to check.

3. Select Open print queue.

4. The Print Queue window opens and displays a list of the pending print jobs waiting to print on the printer. If there are no items in the list, there are no pending print jobs waiting to print.

   Tip

   To verify that the correct printer's print queue is being viewed, in the Print Queue window select the Printers drop-down menu and make sure the desired printer is selected. If desired, print queues of other printers can also be viewed by selecting them from the Printers drop-down menu.

   Open Printers & scanners

2. In the Printers & Scanners window, select the printer whose print queue needs to be viewed, and then select the Open queue button.

3. A new window with the name of the printer opens and displays a list of the pending print jobs waiting to print on the printer. If there are no items in the list, there are no pending print jobs waiting to print.
