This article describes cumulative update package 9 for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. This update contains hotfixes for SQL Server 2008 R2 issues that have been fixed after the release of SQL Server 2008 R2. Note The build of this cumulative update package is also known as build 10.50.1804.0. We recommend that you test hotfixes before you deploy them in a production environment. Because the builds are cumulative, each new fix release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 fix release. To uninstall this cumulative update package, follow these steps:

To reveal all the updates for the SQL Server 2008 R2 installation, select the Show Updates check box.
