Symptoms

Assume that you connect to the Master Data Services (MDS) by using the MDS Add-in for Microsoft Excel in Microsoft SQL Server 2016. When you expand the drop-down list of a domain entity, the value isn't displayed correctly. Instead, a string that resembles "DomainEntity95aa45b8bb454a418211449def114fa2" is displayed.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
