Summary

This update introduces a new extended event, marked_transaction_latch_trace, in SQL Server 2017 on Linux and Windows. This event shows the state of the global latches that are used by marked transactions.

Resolution

This update is included in Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2017.
