Symptoms

The minimum required Random Access Memory (RAM) to install or start an instance of SQL Server 2017 on Linux is set to greater than or equal to 2GB (>=2GB). The property memory.memorylimitmb and all installation related configuration files must be set to 2GB.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:

       Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2017

Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were
