Overview
This article describes user steps to start working with
Russian VAT declaration in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, 8.1.1
(October 2018) release. You can find more details about release in What's new article.
Download Data package with demo setup of Electronic messages and Financial reports

In the LCS Shared asset library, click on Shared asset library title.

Select asset type Data package. Download package with name “RU VAT Declaration demo setup”. As result, file RU VAT Declaration.zip will be downloaded.
Download ER configurations from LCS Shared asset library
You need to download the following or higher versions of ER configurations for working with Russian VAT declaration:

VAT declaration model (RU).version.46
-
VAT declaration model mapping (RU).version.46.68
-
VAT declaration format 5.05.version.46.2
Mentioned configurations versions are released as public preview and will be updated based on feedback received.
Use them to learn how Russian VAT declaration is configured with Electronic reporting. Don't use these configurations as base configurations for derived customized configurations in live environment.

Upload Data management package settings to work with Russian VAT declaration

In the Data management workspace, click Import

Fill in Job details group of fields:

In the field Name enter the job name

In the Data source format field, select value “Package”

In the Upload data file, click Upload and choose the RU VAT Declaration.zip file downloaded earlier.

When upload of Data entities finishes, click on button Import.

Validate the imported Financial report at General ledger > Financial reports setup > Financial reports
If you are going to use Financial reports for generating data for some cells in Chapter 3 of VAT declaration, set up calculation rules for report cells.

Validate and update Electronic messages settings at Tax > Setup > Electronic messages.
In the Message processing actions page (Tax > Setup > Electronic messages), choose action “Generate report”, click Edit, and in the field Format mapping, choose ER configuration VAT declaration format 5.05.version.46.2 or higher, uploaded from LCS Shared asset library. -
Run VAT declaration from Electronic messages page (Tax > Inquiries and reports > Electronic messages)
