Symptoms

After an update is completed to the early update ring of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager current branch, version 1906, the existing custom security roles lose the folder permission.

Notes

  • This update applies only to the early update ring of Configuration Manager current branch, version 1906. It does not apply to environments that are updated to the globally available release of version 1906.

  • This update may not be applicable and won’t be listed in the console if the environment has no custom security roles.

Update information for System Center Configuration Manager, version 1906

This update is available for installation in the Updates and Servicing node of the Configuration Manager console on version 1906 sites that were installed by using the early update ring build of version 1906.

To verify which build is in use, look for a package GUID by adding the Package GUID column to the details pane of the Updates and Servicing node in the console. The update applies to installations of version 1906 from packages that have the following GUID:

  • F0B30EB3-B2B8-4AEA-88C3-3336E53EAB13

  • B28C4A2A-9297-4E9C-B0EE-3BB55DE1ACB9

If the service connection point is in offline mode, you must reimport the update so that it is listed in the Configuration Manager console.

You must have System Center Configuration Manager, version 1906 installed to apply this update.

Restart information

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this update.

This update does not replace any previously released update.
