Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 fix release.

Symptoms

Assume that you disable a data refresh schedule for a PowerPivot workbook in Microsoft SharePoint 2013 that interacts with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services (SSAS 2012). In this situation, the W3wp.exe process on the SharePoint server may encounter exceptions, and the SharePoint farm may become unavailable.

Cause

This issue occurs because the SharePoint job tries to execute the DataRefresh.DeleteWork stored procedure to update the list of data refresh jobs in the content database. However, the stored procedure cannot be executed by the necessary service to remove the job from the DataRefresh queue because of a permission issue during the installation or configuration process of the SSAS content database.
