Symptoms

Assume that you have a merge replication environment together with a custom stored procedure conflict resolver in Microsoft SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012, or SQL Server 2014. In this situation, you may experience Merge Agent failure or incorrect results such as additional characters in character type columns or additional numbers in numeric type columns.

Resolution

The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.
