Introduction 

This article describes the issue that has been fixed for Microsoft System Center 2019 Operations Manager. This article also contains the installation instructions for this hotfix. 

Issue that is fixed 

Fixed an issue causing High Handle Count and CPU Utilization due to additional processing needed to resolve the formatted strings, in case of high volume of monitored events.

Operations Manager Health Service will no longer resolve formatted strings which avoids additional processing. 

Prerequisites 

To apply this hotfix, you must have Update Rollup 3 for System Center Operations Manager 2019 installed.  

Files in this Hotfix: 

  • KB5005527-AMD64-Server.msp

  • KB5005527-AMD64-Gateway.msp

  • KB5005527-AMD64-Agent.msp

Installation Instructions 

1. Download the self-extractor from here. 

2. Extract the contents of the file to a local folder.

3. Run the extracted MSPs in following order. 

  • a. On the Management Servers: Install KB5005527 -AMD64-Server.msp. All agents will move to Pending management. The hotfix will be applied to all the agents upon approval.

  • b. On the Agents: Hotfix (KB5005527 -AMD64-Agent.msp) can be applied explicitly on agents if above step is not performed.

  • c. Gateways: Run KB5005527 -AMD64-Gateway.msp hotfix on all gateway servers.
