All site members can create their own Copilot agents and use them. These Copilot agents can be used, edited or shared by other site members with editing permissions.  As a site owner, you can approve a Copilot agent and set a Copilot agent as the default copilot for the site.

Approve Copilot agents

As a site owner, you can approve Copilot agents created by other site members. Approved Copilot agents are always available from the copilot picker for site visitors, with a “badge” in front.  You can approve a Copilot agent simply by moving the .agent file from the current content folder to Site Assets > Copilot > Approved:

  1. From the current content folder, select the ellipsis (the three dots) to download the .agent file.

Note: if the copilot was created from the home page of a site, it is already available in Site Assets > Copilots.

  2. From Site settings, select Site contents. Then navigate to Site Assets > Copilots > Approved

  3. Upload the .agent file that you previously downloaded to the Approved folder.

Tip: We recommend that you remove the .agent file from its original folder after adding it to the Site Assets folder to avoid duplications.

  4. The Copilot agent is now approved and can be found by all other site visitors. Notice now it has an “approved” badge in front.

Set a Copilot agent as default (coming soon)

You can set an approved Copilot agent as the default copilot for a site. To do this, select the ellipsis (the three dots) next to the Copilot agent. Then select “Assign as site default”. This will be the first Copilot agent that loads up for site visitors when they launch the chat pane.

Delete a Copilot agent

To delete a Copilot agent, select it from the folder. Then select ellipsis (the three dots) >Delete.

Note: You can't delete the out-of-box Copilot agent that comes with the SharePoint site.
