In Microsoft Teams Free, you can switch your views during a video call.  

To switch views during a video call

You can change your view at any time during the video call.

  1. Select View Teams Community event view .
  2. Select a view from these options:
  • Gallery  Teams Community event view - This is the default view when joining a meeting on desktop or mobile.
  • Speaker Teams speaker button ⁠-⁠ This view will track the current active speaker in the meeting. 
  • Large gallery Large gallery view button view- This option is available when at least ten people have their cameras turned on. Large gallery view can show up to 49 participants, in a 7x7 arrangement. 
  • Focus on content Teams focus on content button ⁠-⁠ This is where you can focus on the content when the presenter is sharing their screen. 

Additional meeting view options

Under View Teams Community event view , you can also adjust your Gallery size and Show videos first.

Under View Teams Community event view > More options you can:

  • Show gallery at top
  • Turn off incoming video Teams video off button
  • Hide me Teams hide button - hides your own video from your screen while other participants can still see you
  • Remove me in the gallery- removes your video tile from the gallery
  • Full screen Teams full screen button - expands the meeting to fill your whole display
