Report messages in Microsoft Teams

If you see a concerning chat or channel message in Teams, you can report it as either a security risk or inappropriate content. 

To report a message: 

1.  Go to the message and select More optionsMicrosoft Teams more options icon > More actions > Report this message.

2.  Go to Select a problem, choose the option that best describes the message you want to report (Security risk or Inappropriate) then select Report

3.  You'll receive a popup message confirming that your report was sent.

Note: If you don’t see the option to report a message, or can't select one of the two types of problems, check with your admin. Currently, if you're using Copilot in Teams, you can't report a message in the Copilot app.
