If your purchase of Office or Microsoft 365 came with a product key, you enter your product key on one of the websites listed below for your product. After you enter your key, you can download and install Office, or you can renew your Microsoft 365 subscription. Tip: Get tech expertise with Business Assist.

If you already redeemed a product key, you're simply reinstalling the apps, or you know you have an assigned license through work or school, you can skip ahead and go to the section sign in to download and install Microsoft 365 or Office.

Install Microsoft 365 2019 or 2016 on a PC. Remember a one-time purchase version of Microsoft 365 is licensed for one install only. Depending on your browser, select Open file (in Edge or Internet Explorer), Setup (in Chrome), or Save File (in Firefox).

You can use a simple formula to sum numbers in a range (a group of cells), but the SUM function is easier to use when you’re working with more than a few numbers. For example =SUM (A2:A6) is less likely to have typing errors than =A2+A3+A4+A5+A6.

The VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP functions, together with INDEX and MATCH,  are some of the most useful functions in Excel. Note: The Lookup Wizard feature is no longer available in Excel. Here's an example of how to use VLOOKUP. =VLOOKUP (B2,C2:E7,3,TRUE) In this example, B2 is the first argument —an element of data that the function needs to work.

SharePoint is a browser-based app that you connect to through your web browser, like so: Go to office.com, and sign in to your work or school account. In the upper left corner of the window, select the app launcher > All apps > SharePoint.

However, you may need to choose an encoding standard when you open or save a file in these situations: Sharing text files with people working in other languages. Downloading text files across the Internet. Sharing text files with other computer systems.

When you share files and folders, you can decide whether to let people edit or just view them. You can see who a SharePoint file is shared with, and stop sharing SharePoint files or folders, or change permissions, at any time. Uninstall from the Start menu. Select Start > All apps and search for the app in the list shown. Press and hold (or right-click) on the app, then select Uninstall. Uninstall in Settings. Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features . Find the app you want to remove, select More > Uninstall.
