Your users need to be on app version 2.8.0 (or higher); managing the app won't work for older versions. AAD/Entra ID account support is available from version 3.x (at least 3.0.10020).

If you notice this happening with one of your games, it's best to try to launch it from the third-party platform app and make sure you navigate through any issues that might persist there and then go back to launching the game through the Xbox app once those issues are resolved.
