ISSUE

When converting to kanji, the characters become invisible.

This impacts users on version 2401 (17231) and newer.

STATUS: FIXED

This issue has been fixed by a service change which fully rolled out on 2/26/24.

If you're still seeing the issue, it's possible that Word/Outlook has not picked up the change yet. To ensure the change has been picked up by the app, please close all open Office apps and re-open Word/Outlook.
