In Microsoft 365 Copilot Notebooks, you can ask Copilot for key outputs, information on topics, analysis, and insights that are focused on just the content in your notebook.
Note
Copilot Notebooks is available to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat licensed users. Accounts must have a SharePoint or OneDrive license (service plan) to create notebooks. Copilot Notebooks is also available for Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, and Premium subscribers. Learn more about Microsoft 365 Copilot licensing and Microsoft 365 Copilot plans.
Ask Copilot about the contents in your notebook
Copilot will provide an answer grounded on the references in your notebook. Learn more about Copilot grounding.
Select the notebook you want to work on.
In the right pane in the Message Copilot compose box, ask Copilot a question about your notebook or use one of the suggested prompts. For example:
Summarize all the information I've collected on the U.S. eBike market.Select Send

Reference limits and supported file types
Supported file types: .docx, .pptx, .xlsx, .pdf, .loop, .page, and OneNote pages.
Links to supported file types within your Microsoft 365 account can be added and used for grounding. Other links, including web links, aren't supported.
Even if you share your notebook with others, your conversations with Copilot remain private.
