Browse with Copilot
Browse with Copilot is a feature of Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat in Microsoft Edge that can navigate and complete browser actions alongside a user when they explicitly ask it to.
It is currently available in a limited preview to test the experience with enterprise tenants who have opted in. Contact your IT admin to learn more about the preview.
Copilot will respect existing tenant admin controls and Microsoft 365 data-protection policies.
How it works
Turn browsing with Copilot on/off
-
Open Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat
in Microsoft Edge. -
In the menu located above the text box, click on Chat only to open the menu.
-
Select Browse with Copilot.
-
Then, enter the prompt explaining what you want Copilot to do. The more detailed the prompt, the better. The first time you browse with Copilot, you will be asked to acknowledge a consent form.
Use it to browse the web with Copilot
-
Ask Copilot to navigate: “Find the pricing page for a new SAAS product and summarize the plan differences.”
-
Ask Copilot to act (where supported by the site): “Help me complete this form” or “Add this item to my cart.”
-
Ask Copilot to execute multistep workflows: “Open my top 3 competitors blogs, summarize the key information, and structure it into a newsletter format I can send to partners.”
-
Nothing happens until you ask: Copilot won’t take actions on web pages unless you explicitly invoke it.
