Note
This article applies to Clipchamp for personal accounts. For work or school access, see How to access Microsoft Clipchamp with your work or school account.
You can stop future payments without deleting your Clipchamp account. First, check whether you're paying for a standalone Clipchamp Premium subscription or getting premium Clipchamp features through Microsoft 365.
To stop renewal and keep your benefits until the expiry date, turn off recurring billing. If you choose to cancel instead, check when your benefits end and whether a refund is available before you confirm.
Note
If your subscription is billed by Apple, Google Play, or another retailer, contact that provider to cancel it or ask about a refund. The Microsoft account steps in this article apply only to subscriptions that Microsoft bills.
Cancel Clipchamp Premium
If Microsoft bills your standalone subscription, cancel it from your Microsoft account.
- Open Services & subscriptions and sign in with the personal Microsoft account used to buy the subscription.
- Find your Clipchamp subscription and select Manage.
- Select Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on the options shown.
- Review the cancellation details, including when your benefits end and any refund. To proceed, follow the prompts to confirm.
If you see Turn on recurring billing, renewal is already off. The subscription expires on the date shown, and you don't need to do anything else to stop renewal.
For more information, see Cancel your Microsoft subscription.
If you can't find or cancel your subscription
If your subscription isn't listed in Services & subscriptions, or you can't cancel it:
- Make sure you're signed in with the Microsoft account used for the purchase. Check your receipt if you're not sure.
- Check who bills your subscription. If another provider bills it, use that provider's cancellation process.
- If someone shared a Microsoft 365 subscription with you, the subscription owner manages its billing.
For other issues, follow Unable to cancel your Microsoft subscription. If you still need help with a Microsoft-billed subscription, contact Microsoft support.
Refunds
Not every cancellation qualifies for a refund. For subscriptions billed by Microsoft, eligibility is shown during cancellation and depends on factors such as the subscription, purchase timing, and the region of purchase.
Review the refund information before you confirm. For the current rules, see Microsoft subscription refund policy.
Clipchamp as part of a Microsoft 365 subscription
If your Clipchamp premium features come through Microsoft 365, there's no separate Clipchamp charge to cancel unless you also bought a standalone Clipchamp Premium subscription. Starting Microsoft 365 doesn't automatically cancel an existing Clipchamp Premium subscription.
To cancel Microsoft 365, follow Cancel a Microsoft 365 subscription.
Important
Canceling Microsoft 365 affects the whole subscription, not just Clipchamp. It can also affect people you share the plan with and reduce your OneDrive storage allowance. Before you cancel, check your storage. If you exceed the remaining allowance, you might not be able to upload, edit, or sync files.
Deleting a Clipchamp account
Canceling a subscription doesn't delete your Clipchamp account. Deleting a Clipchamp account doesn't cancel a paid subscription. For help deleting your account, see How to delete a Clipchamp account.
