You can use the Clipchamp app on Windows 10 and Windows 11 with a personal Microsoft account or a work or school account. The account you use determines which Clipchamp experience opens.
What changed?
The Windows app uses Microsoft sign-in. It might sign you in automatically with an existing session or an account connected to Windows. Otherwise, select Sign in with Microsoft and choose the account you want to use.
If Clipchamp opens with the wrong account, wait for project saving and any uploads to finish, select your user icon, and select Sign out. Then sign in with the correct account, if your organization's policies allow it. Personal projects and work or school projects are separate.
For users of Clipchamp's personal version
Use the personal Microsoft account connected to your existing Clipchamp account to access your projects. This account might use a different email address from your original Clipchamp sign-in.
Google and email-based sign-in aren't available in the Windows app. If you used either method before and need help finding or connecting your Microsoft account, follow the existing-account sign-in steps in a browser. Then return to the Windows app and sign in with that connected Microsoft account.
For users of Clipchamp's work and school version
Use the work or school account issued by your organization. Your account needs an assigned license that includes Clipchamp, and Clipchamp must be enabled for you.
On managed devices, your IT admin can control whether the Windows app is installed or allowed to run and whether personal accounts are allowed. If you can't use the app, ask your IT admin to check the installation, app version, license assignment, and sign-in or access policies.
For more information, see Work and school account support in the Clipchamp app for Windows. If the desktop app isn't available and your organization allows it, use Clipchamp in the browser in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
