Summary
Windows usually detects and installs new hardware automatically when you connect it. If a device isn’t added automatically, you can add it manually from Settings.
When to add a device manually
You may need to add a device manually if:
- The device isn’t detected when you connect it.
- The device uses Bluetooth or wireless pairing.
- You’re setting up a new external accessory.
