Get a replacement for Microsoft Surface USB Link

Here’s how to request a replacement Microsoft Surface USB Link for Microsoft Surface Headphones 2+ if your Surface USB Link is lost or not working properly. After you receive your replacement Surface USB Link, you’ll need to pair it with your Surface Headphones 2+.

To get a replacement Surface USB Link when it's under warranty:

  1. Go to Device service and repair and sign in with your Microsoft account.
  2. Register your Surface Headphones 2+ and start a new repair order.
  3. Select the replacement accessories you need, and then create the order. If the accessory you need isn't listed, contact us.

After you receive your replacement Surface USB Link, you’ll need to pair it with your Surface Headphones 2+ by using the Surface app.

On your Windows 10/11 PC

  1. Plug the replacement Surface USB Link into the USB port on your Windows 10/11 PC.
  2. Select the Start button, then select Surface in the app list.
  3. In the Surface app, select your Surface Headphones, then select Microsoft Surface USB Link > Pair.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your Surface USB Link to your Surface Headphones.
