Create images, infographics, and visual stories in Microsoft Copilot by turning your words and files into polished visuals. In this lesson, you'll watch three short videos that build on each other: first you'll generate an original image from a description, then you'll turn key points into a one-page infographic, and finally you'll transform an existing document into a multi-page visual story you can export to PowerPoint.

In this tutorial

Video 1: Create an image

Video 2: Create an infographic

Video 3: Turn a file into a visual story

Before you begin

You'll need:

  • A Microsoft 365 work, school, Personal, Premium, or Pro account with access to the Microsoft Copilot app.
  • A file in OneDrive or SharePoint (for Video 3). Any document with a clear narrative works well, such as company history, project summary, or report.
  • A few ideas ready to go. Have a short image description and three or four key points for an infographic so you can practice as you watch.

Tip

SAMPLE PROMPT Turn the attached Contosoworks history into a concise visual story for new employees. Highlight the founding, key programs, major growth milestones, and current mission with clear sections and a professional narrative.

Tips for better results

  • Be specific, then iterate. Start with a detailed prompt, and then use the editor to adjust rather than starting over.
  • Review before you share. Check generated text, numbers, and dates for accuracy.
