Note: Channel Agent for Teams channels is currently in public preview, and features are likely to change. To learn more about Microsoft's public preview program, see Get early access to new features in Microsoft Teams.

Once Channel Agent is added to a meeting, the agent begins creating summaries based on the meeting’s transcript. These summaries become a part of the agent’s knowledge base.

Note: Viewing and rejecting summaries is available to all meeting participants, if they are a part of the channel that created the agent and are allowed to manage apps in Teams by their IT admin.

Approve or reject Channel Agent's summaries

Summaries are automatically shared with the agent’s channel members if no action is taken within 24 hours of the summary being generated. People can reject the summaries prior to and after the 24-hour period.

  1. In Teams, go to the meeting chat or channel with the agent’s summary.

  2. Select the Review summary button at the bottom of the agent’s summary message.

  3. Read the agent’s summary, and at the bottom of the summary window, select Add to knowledge base or Don’t add summary.

    1. If someone rejects the summary by selecting the Don’t add summary button after the 24-hour period, the knowledge won’t be used in future responses.

    2. Accepted summaries become a part of the agent’s knowledge base.
