  • Select More options More options button next to the file name and then Download.

Files you download from Teams will show up in your device's Downloads folder.

Change the downloads location for your files

Note: Changing the location where your files are downloaded is available as part of the public preview program and might undergo further changes before being released publicly. To get access to this and other upcoming features, switch to Teams public preview

1. From the Teams desktop app, go to your profile picture and select More info
2. Select Settings and from the left menu, choose Files
3. In the Downloads section, select Change, and then Select Folder to choose the new folder where you’d like to save your downloaded files.

Note: This action is not currently supported for the web version of Teams or the Teams mobile app.

Going forward, all downloaded files from Teams will be saved directly to the location you specified. Under Downloads, turn on the toggle if you’d like to choose where to save files every time you download them.
