This article is for users of the Outlook Lite mobile app on Android. If you're using the Outlook mobile app, get help via Outlook Mobile

Outlook Lite currently supports Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Hotmail, Live, MSN and Google accounts. Support for other account types will be available in future updates. 

To change your password in Outlook.com, Sign in to your Microsoft account using your current password. If you forgot your password, select Forgot my password and follow the steps. Optionally, go to How to reset your Microsoft account password

If you think your account has been hacked, see My Outlook.com account has been hacked.

If your account has been blocked, see Unblock my Outlook.com account.

If you can't sign in, go to Account support.

To sign out of Outlook Lite, tap your avatar icon (top-left corner) then scroll down and tap Sign out.

If you're unable to send email, here are some possible causes and solutions:

  • Service interruption. Check the current service status. If it does not indicate green, the service is down. Retry when the light returns to green.

  • Mailbox full. You cannot send or receive messages if your mailbox is full. Possible solutions include deleting unnecessary inbox files and emptying your junk mail and deleted files folders.

  • Interrupted send. If you closed the app before a sending operation had completed, the unsent outbound messages may have been moved to your Drafts folder.

  • Message limit exceeded. To deter spammers, Outlook.com limits the number of messages sent per day from any mailbox. If you received a message about exceeding the limit, see Fix Outlook.com email sync issues.

If you're unable to receive email, here are some possible causes and solutions:

  • Service interruption. Check the current service status. If it does not indicate green, the service is down. Retry when the light returns to green.

  • Mailbox full. You cannot send or receive messages if your mailbox is full.  Possible solutions include deleting unnecessary inbox files and emptying your junk mail and deleted files folders.

  • Email at different destination. The expected message(s) may have been delivered to an unexpected destination folder. Check your Junk folder and Other inbox.

Event reminders will be available in future app updates. 

Syncing Outlook contacts with the device contacts is currently not available in Outlook Lite.
